About the organisation

Psychosocial Support through Art and Traditional Crafts

Objectives & Outcomes:

Luysi Huys NGO has implemented individual and group psychosocial support activities for children and vulnerable groups in Tavush, combining psychological support with creative and cultural activities. In cooperation with artists and the Telman Mayilyan Master’s House-Art Studio, participants have been involved in traditional craft workshops, including woodcarving, stone carving and agate processing.

The initiative is primarily connected to the social transformation. It uses participation in cultural heritage and traditional craftsmanship to support creative expression, emotional well-being, social interaction and a stronger sense of belonging. The activities have included work with children, conflict-affected and forcibly displaced people and residents of local communities.

The initiative also has a developing digital dimension: activities and cultural practices are shared through social media to increase their visibility and reach wider audiences. In the future, the organisation aims to strengthen the documentation and digital presentation of local cultural heritage and community stories.
