Project Title: Establishment of a House-Museum and Ethnographic Quarter in the Village of Tsaghkashat in Nagorno-Karabakh

Goal: To establish a museum, restore an ethnographic quarter, revive cultural and culinary practices, and organize ethnographic festivals based on the birthplace of the famous figure Nikol Duman.

Results: A house-museum was created, where the life and culture of a Karabakh village of the 19th century were recreated with authentic exhibits. Abandoned residential buildings of the 19th century were restored, housing public buildings typical of the village of that time - tonratun (bakery), maran (cellar), utility rooms, and residential buildings used as guest rooms.

The creation of an ethnographic quarter and active promotion in social networks made the village one of the famous tourist destinations in Artsakh. Residents of the village were given the opportunity to produce and sell their ecological products to visitors and during ethnographic shows. Traditional crafts were revived in the village - carpet weaving, embroidery, woodworking and other handicrafts, which were sold right there in the souvenir shop. Local culinary practices were revived and actively promoted - baking pies with herbs, traditional cuisine, local pastries. The creation of new jobs and self-employment of the population stopped the emigration of residents to urban centers. Communication with tourists contributed to the creation of new social ties and the general development of the local population, including the development of digital skills.
