Chi sono

In the far south of Armenia, the village of Nrnadzor, nestled between Iran and Azerbaijan in the Syunik region, is striving to endure. Isolated since the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War, it is now home to only 135 inhabitants, including several refugees.

Thanks to the mobilisation of the villagers, and with the support of the Fonds Arménien de France, its operating foundation Himnatavush Development Fund, and the Boghossian Foundation, an irrigation reservoir project has been initiated to sustain local agriculture.

The project aims to irrigate 50 hectares of land, enabling the planting of orchards of pomegranates, persimmons and figs. This initiative also generates seasonal employment and provides residents with the means to earn a dignified livelihood through their work.
